શૈશવની શક્તિઓને ખીલવવામાં પ્રિ- સ્કૂલનું યોગદાન શું હોઈ શકે તેનું જીવંત ઉદાહરણ અમદાવાદનું પ્રસિદ્ધ ચાઈલ્ડ કેર સેન્ટર “મધર્સ પેટ” છે.
આજે મધર્સ પેટનો વાર્ષિકોત્સવ ઉજવાયો. મેં અગાઉ ઘણી શાળાઓના બાળકોને રસોત્સવોમાં – પ્રોગ્રામ્સમાં નિહાળ્યા છે. મધર્સ પેટ માટે અલગ જ છાપ ઉભરે છે.
સૌ પ્રથમ મધર્સ પેટ દ્વારા પસંદ કરાયેલ થીમ “મિટ્ટીકે રંગ” કાબિલે તારીફ જ ગણાય. ભૂલકાંઓને આવા સુંદર થીમના વિવિધ દ્રશ્યો ભજવતાં જોવા તે એક લહાવો હતો. કાર્યક્રમના સંચાલકોએ દરેક શિશુને ફ્રંટ સ્ટેજ પર આવીને ભાગ ભજવવાની તક મળે તેની વિશેષ કાળજી લીધી હતી. રડતા ભૂલકાને ટીચર ગોદમાં ઊઠાવી વહાલથી સ્ટેજ પર પરફોર્મ કરવા પ્રોત્સાહિત કરે તે અનોખી વાત!
બાળકોની વેશભૂષા સુંદર હતી. શિવાજી,અશોકની રાણી, ઝાંસીની રાણી અને પોરસ સહિત અન્ય પાત્રોનાં કોસ્ચ્યુમ ખૂબ જ સુંદર હતાં. આદમ અને ઈવ, ભગવાન બુદ્ધ અને બ્રિટીશ યુગના આરંભ સમયના દ્રશ્યોનું પ્રકાશ-આયોજન (લાઈટીંગ) તો અદભુત હતું. પા પા પગલી માંડતા શિશુઓના આ સમગ્ર કાર્યક્રમના સંચાલનમાં આકર્ષક લયબદ્ધતા હતી તે વળી નવાઈની વાત!
મધર્સ પેટના ભૂલકાંઓ તથા સંચાલકો – સ્ટાફના સભ્યો તો અભિનંદનના અધિકારી છે જ, સાથે શિસ્તબદ્ધ અને ઉત્સાહી વાલી ગણ પણ અભિનંદનને પાત્ર છે.. સૌને અભિનંદન!

Mother’s Pet, Ahmedabad Celebrates Annual Programme
Mother’s Pet, the renowned child-care centre of Ahmedabad colourfully celebrated its Annual Participatory Programme at Tagore Hall, Ahmedabad on February 9, 2007.
Over the last few years, Mother’s Pet has been setting commendable standards in the pre-school development of the child. Mother’s Pet has earned high reputation for the special themes of their programmes. Hardly any other pre-school can boast of such great performances as Mother’s Pet has been staging. This year, the theme of the programme was quite novel – “Mitti ke Rang”. The toddlers superbly translated the challenging theme into an outstanding performance.
The kids exuded confidence and zeal in their stage activities. Can you imagine the children playing the characters of Emperor Ashoka, Lord Buddha, Queen of Jhansi or even Mahatma Gandhi at a tender age of 3 years or so? How great would be the dedicated efforts of the teachers! The costumes, the lighting and the music significantly contributed to the success of the programme.
The parents felt happy that every child was given a fair opportunity to perform on the front stage. I sincerely appreciate the self-discipline of the parents.
The parents should be proud that their children are being nurtured at Mother’s Pet where the child’s holistic development is the prime concern of the staff and the management.

Amazing show. Being a parent of child from Mother’s pet made me proud when my child performed on the stage. All children were dressed well and in dicipline on stage without thier teacher’s around them. They were so confident and presentable as if they were regular stage performers.
Total strength of students behind the stage was approximately 500.
Being a passasive mother I tried to enter the back stage to know the scenario behind the stage which was unbelievable . All the kids were sitting in line and waiting for their turn to perform drinking lime juice and having sand witch. I salute Mother’s pet managment and staff member’s for their patience with kids and trainning them for wonderful performence.

I have been fortunate to know both Ritaben and Rajanbhai for some time now and have also interacted in some work at the Mother’s Pet. Their zest for innovation, personal touch and creativity is commendable. They have always wanted to keep up with the changing times and have been open to suggestions and change, which is very refreshing. લંડનના નીલેશભાઈ ત્યાં બેઠાં બેઠાં આ સ્કૂલના આ કાર્યક્રમનાં કોસ્ચ્યુમ અને લાઈટીંગનું વર્ણન કરે ને અમે અહીં અમદાવાદમાં જ એનાથી અજાણ ! ત્યાં ન જઈ શકવા બદલ સંકોચ થાય એવી વાત હોવા છતાં પણ એક આદર્શ સ્કૂલની મઝાની વાત વાંચીને હૈયું ઠરે છે.
નીલેશભાઈ અને સુરેશભાઈ લખે છે તે એ પણ બતાવી આપે છે કે દૂર દેશમાં પણ દેશની વાતો કેટલી ઉત્કંઠા જગાવી જાય છે.તમે સ્કૂલનાં બાળકો,શિક્ષકો ઉપરાંત વાલીઓને પણ ધન્યવાદ આપ્યાં છે.
હું તો તમને આવા મઝાના કાર્યને પ્રકાશિત કરવા બદલ અને કોમેંટ્સ આપનાર સહયોગીઓ-દેશપ્રેમીઓને ખૂબ ખૂબ ધન્યવાદ આપીશ. આવું મઝાનું પ્રગટાવતા રહેશો !
