ગાંધીજી બકરી પાળતા હતા તે આપણે જાણીએ છીએ.
અમેરિકાના શરૂઆતના કેટલાક પ્રેસિડેન્ટસ તાજું દૂધ મેળવવાના હેતુથી પ્રમુખના નિવાસસ્થાને ગાય પાળતા હતા!
પ્રેસિડેન્ટ વિલિયમ હોવર્ડ ટેફ્ટ (1857 - 1930) અમેરિકાના 27મા પ્રમુખ (1909 – 1913) હતા. તેઓ છેલ્લા પ્રેસિડેન્ટ હતા કે જેમણે તાજું દૂધ મળે તે હેતુથી વ્હાઈટ હાઉસના પ્રીમાઈસીસમાં ગાય રાખેલી હતી!!!
